13HP-BRIGGS & STRATTON XR2100

SWOMP LITE 13

What 13 is right for you? The XR2100 is definitely the most cost effective and overall a good engine with good power at 420 CC and 13.5 HP. The Honda is a little less powerful but it is a Honda and has the reliability that comes with it. The Vanguard v-twin is great. It is a Smooth runner with good power. The downfall is the weight. If you are looking at the 13 V-twin most times it make sense to jump up to the 23 HP for virtually the same weight and a few hundred more dollars

KEY FEATURES

65″ Shaft Designed for low transoms only – 16″ or less boat transom height
77″ Shaft for 16″ + transom
Skid plate handle mount protects engine base and ties together the handle and drive train.
Drive tube with single upper brace is built to be light weight without compromising strength.
Precision machined aluminum Backwater Bell-housing – Perfect Alignment and smooth running.
Revo-Clean Bearing System keeps debris out.
Surface Tracer cavitation plate – Provides added speed, easier handling, and shallower running.

Standard with Versa-mount transom mount

– Trim adjustment pin.  Controls how far the prop can drop in to the water.
– 360 degree swivel with two safety locks and travel lock.  Prop can turn into the boat for transportation.
–  Inboard and outboard mounting capability offers the ability to change weight distribution in the boat.
–  Get the prop in undisturbed water. Changing from out board to inboard moves the prop 4 inches plus the thickness of
     the transom.
–  When mounted out board set back transom allows sharper turns.
–  Lowest riding transom mount with the ability to swivel. Lowers the operating angle of the motor.
– Matches any transom angle from 0-16 degrees.  Adjustment allows for the swivel surface to always be mounted level.
Having a level swivel surface makes all prop depth adjustments function and prevents the motor from tilting when
     making turns.

The SWOMP

Achieving excellence in Performance, Toughness and Reliability

In the few years since we created the new SWOMP motor series design, it has become known by many as best longtail you can buy. Using a combination of DOM tubing and a CNC’d aluminum bell housing, we have been able to increase performance while reducing the complexity that makes other designs vulnerable.
Most traditional longtails use a universal joint to connect the engine output shaft to the propeller drive shaft. Sure, u-joints are pretty tough to break. But wanna know what’s even tougher? Having no u-joint to break at all. Inside of our bell housing the engine output shaft is connected to the propeller drive shaft with a straight, high horsepower single split clamping coupler. In addition to being incredibly durable, this design also eliminates the parasitic power loss experienced by u-joint longtails.
Another key to our performance is the SWOMP frame geometry. By pivoting off the bellhousing and lowering the angle of the prop entering the water we achieve better directional power transfer and more speed. Pivoting off the bell housing also has the benefit of effectively increasing the handle length. This gives the driver more controlled leverage and makes the SWOMP even easier to drive. The final benefit of our design is that we’ve been able to reduce weight without any sacrifices.
To put it simply, Backwater motors are in a class of their own because we don’t just strive for excellence — we achieve it.
